A WOMAN has revealed that she was convinced her husband was having an affair, but it was her clever five-year-old that ratted him out

The heartbroken mother recently took to social media to reveal how she found out her husband was having an affair - leaving many open-mouthed.

The mum-of-one explained that she had a feeling that something wasn’t right, but after her five-year-old asked her partner a very simple question, his dirty little secret was revealed in no time.

Posting online, the woman claimed: “Gut instinct will always be a power of a woman.”

She then went into detail about how she found out her husband of eight years was lying and cheating, as she said: “I’ve had so many messages to find out how I knew he was having an affair and the real reason was gut instinct.

“I just knew. He left and I asked if there was anyone else and he was like ‘you’re obsessed with that, no there’s not. It’s just you, you’re the problem’.

“So as that week went on, I’d obviously lost my mind.

“I’d never had to look at his phone before, but I checked out his Instagram followers - she stood out like a sore thumb.

“I checked out Twitter, which I don’t use, but they were retweeting love notes. They were retweeting the same ones.

“Then one of the night's he was working away. I knew the hotel he was staying at. When my little girl spoke to him the next morning, she’s five. She said ‘what room did you stay in?’ He gave her the room number.”

The mother then explained that in a roundabout way, the hotel receptionist spilt the bins, as she continued: “I phoned the hotel and asked if that room had checked out and she said ‘yeah, they've just checked out’.

“I said ‘they?’ and she said ‘yeah’.

“I said ‘was it male and female?’ and she said ‘yeah’. She couldn’t tell me who it was because of data protection but she said ‘can I ask who’s calling?’, I said ‘it’s his wife’.

“She said ‘I can’t tell you, but what I will tell you is, I’m really sorry’.”

The woman was left heartbroken, but things didn’t stop there, as she then added: “That was all the proof I needed. He came round to see my little girl, he was staying for tea.

“I asked if I could use his phone and said mine wasn’t working properly. Got his phone, started recording, went on his WhatsApp, on an archive message, it was her saying ‘I love you’.

“There were messages and messages of them telling them they loved each other and they were one step closer to the end goal. The end goal was getting me out of the picture, him leaving me. How lovely.

“After eight years. So yeah, that's how I found out, which is just so sad. Honestly I still can’t believe it. It’s the saddest thing ever.”

The clip, which was shared on TikTok, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up a staggering 526,600 views in just five days.

Social media users were eager to reach out to the woman, to share their messages of love and support in the comments.

One person said: “The hotel receptionist is a real one! So sorry for this.. But you'll come back stronger.”

Another added: “You deserve so much better, you’re absolutely stunning and he’s missing out!”

A third commented: “You will look back at this stage in your life in years to come and realise it was the best thing to happen… he has shown you who he is, he has shown..you that you deserve so much better.

“This is a journey to find the life you deserve now, embrace it… I wish you all the happiness.”

Meanwhile, many other social media users admitted that they too have been cheated on.

One woman explained: “This happened to me, he left me with two kids for my best friend.”

A second chimed in: “This happened to me five years ago and at the time it broke me. Five years later I kept the house, I'm engaged and he's still with that woman and miserable.”
