So if you’re looking for some extra cash and have a wardrobe full of clothes that you never wear, you’ll need to listen up.

In a video posted on social media, Amy revealed the three things you must do if you want to get rid of your items quickly.

She said: “I've made over £250 on Vinted in the last four weeks here are my three top tips.

“Number one, you want a nice clean, clear and bright image and I'd recommend wearing the item if you can.

“Showing different angles of the item as well and this just helps people picture what it would look like on them.

“Next, you want to make sure that your description is really helpful.

“Try and think about if you were buying this item, what would you want to know about it. Giving reference information is also really handy.

“My final tip is don't be afraid to haggle or accept offers. Knock them down maybe £1 and they might meet you halfway, but it's always worth doing just for that little bit extra.”

In a follow-up clip, Amy claimed: “It's so easy to make money on Vinted! Here’s how.”

She then explained: “You guys absolutely loved my video where I spoke about how much I make on Vinted and my three top tips, so here are a couple more tips for you which are really going to help you sell on Vinted.”

Firstly, Amy explained why you need to check your settings, as she advised: “Tip one is setting your postage options - it’s honestly [so] worth doing.

“You wanna head to your profile, head on to Settings and then you wanna go all the way to postage and then tick the different postage options that are feasible for you.

“Obviously the more you've got ticked, the better chance of selling.”

She then revealed the trick you must take advantage of if people favourite your items, as she continued: “Then this next tip is worth knowing, when you've got people that favourite your items, it’s always worthwhile just dropping them a message.

“Say ‘hi, I see you're interested in my item’. Maybe even give them an offer, maybe knock £1 off of what you're selling it for if you think that's fair and then you can have a quick sell.”

Finally, Amy advised that dropping the price of items if they have lots of interest is also a good way to make a quick sale, as she concluded: “Also if you've got lots of people favouriting your item but it hasn't sold and you think ‘okay, I'm gonna drop the price’, whenever you drop a price, everybody who's favourited that item is gonna get a notification that the price has dropped, so again it's quite a strategic way of making a sale.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @outfitsbyamy, has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly amassed 80,200 views.

Social media users were thankful for the tips, as one person said: “Great tips - I have loads of fab bits listed on mine.”

Whilst another agreed: “Great tips.

However, if you are going to sell items on this platform, you'll need to take note of the recent changes that have come into play.

From January 1, HMRC will be cracking down on people who earn extra income through various side hustles.

The number of sellers on platforms like Depop and Vinted has increased in recent years as an easy way to earn some extra money.

But under the new system, sellers could be slapped with an unexpected tax bill if they don't comply with necessary tax regulations.

Now, HMRC will direct platforms to record how much money people make by listing their services and items on them.

The taxman will also go directly to these platforms, which will become responsible for recording the same information and handing it over to HMRC.

HMRC will then be able to use this data as well as any submitted tax returns to work out if there are any discrepancies.
