Major update on Strictly probe into Giovanni Pernice scandal as net widens on bullying claims
THE Strictly probe into Giovanni Pernice is not expected to be concluded until next year.
Up to five celebs have given formal interviews to two former Met detectives leading the investigation, it is understood.
The Sicilian dancer, 33, who faces accusations of bullying, has yet to be quizzed.
Meanwhile, the BBC’s duty of care executive, Sam Bickley, is expected to address the issue for the first time on Tuesday.
A source said last night: “Those involved have been told the probe could well drag on into next year.
“Of course, the last thing the BBC need is the findings to be released in the middle of this series.”

They added: “Bosses are under enormous pressure to make sure the investigation is extremely thorough.
“Up to five stars have presented evidence in statements and WhatsApp exchanges.
“Gio is likely to be quizzed last, once everything else is in order.
“He’s more than happy to speak to investigators and is determined to clear his name.”
Ms Bickley is expected to outline measures safeguarding performers on a Royal Television Society panel next week.
Giovanni, who has quit Strictly, denies all allegations.
Actress Amanda Abbington, his last partner, has received death threats from Giovanni’s fans after saying she got PTSD from her time with him.
