A BUS carrying schoolchildren has ploughed into a lorry leaving 16 injured.
The crash happened at around 9.30am today on the A46 northbound near Syston, Leicestershire.

Multiple people have been taken to hospital.
Leicestershire Police confirmed the collision involved a bus carrying schoolchildren and a HGV.
A force spokesperson said 16 passengers sustained minor injuries and five others were taken to hospital "as a precaution", reports LeicestershireLive.
An official diversion route is in place but drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
