UK weather: Met Office issues THREE yellow warnings with up to 150mm of rain as tailwinds from hurricane to hit Britain
THE Met Office has issued three yellow weather warnings as a hurricane is set to spark heavy rain and wind in the coming days.
Forecasters said tailwinds from the Atlantic storm could bring wet and windy weather to the UK.
Three yellow weather warnings have been issued across Monday, Wednesday and Thursday in Scotland and the northwest of England.
Met Office expert David Oliver said: "The most likely scenario is for a period of unsettled weather from Wednesday.
"Especially in the north and west with heavy rain and strong winds possible. It may be warmer and less wet towards the southeast."
Unlike the oncoming predicted weather, today will be mostly dry with sunny spells for most.
There is a chance of a few showers in the north, particularly across Scotland where it will also be breezy.
