Experts from bathroom retailer Plumbworld have suggested using white vinegar.
They said: "Vinegar is a great option for killing mould.
"It may smell unpleasant, but it won’t have the toxicity of bleach.

"Pour it straight onto the spores or use a spray bottle.
"Try mixing it with water with a ratio of 2:1, leave for 30 minutes before wiping."
Black mould is a fungus that grows in warm, wet conditions such as in the bathroom.
Mould can build up for a number of reasons, such as leaking pipes, poor insulation or if condensation is not wiped away after you've had a shower.
It's important to get rid of mould as it can cause many health problems.
According to the NHS, black mould can lead to asthma attacks, allergic reactions and infections.
When removing black mould, it is important to protect yourself by using rubber gloves and a mask that covers you nose and mouth.
White vinegar has antifungal and antibacterial properties.
Shop bought white vinegar contains about 5 to 8 percent acetic acid, which can disrupt the growth of fungus and other microorganisms.
However, you should be warned that because of its acidity, black mould can damage some types of surfaces.
It is recommended that you don't use it on wooden floors or stone countertops.
White vinegar is super cheap, and can be purchased for as little as 79p from B&M.
You can also use bleach to kill mould.
