Dr Michael Mosley autopsy ‘reveals TV doc may have taken tragic final rest yards from safety before collapsing in heat’
THE autopsy on the body of Michael Mosley has reportedly shown the doctor may have taken a tragic final rest just a few yards away from the safety of a restaurant.
The autopsy was completed today in Rhodes with initial findings indicating the doctor's time of death was around 4pm on the day he went missing, according to local media.
A report by the Coroner in Greece shows that the doctor rested his hand on the terrace before collapsing.
It is not clear whether the BBC journalist fell or laid down to have some rest possibly because he was feeling unwell in the day's 37C heat.
The autopsy reportedly shows that it doesn't appear Dr Mosley sustained any injuries that indicate criminal activity.
The body of the doctor was found on rocky ground on the Greek island of Symi after an extensive five-day search by drones, helicopters and specially trained dogs.
Footage of Dr Mosley's final moments which is at the hands of the Greek police reveals the 67-year-old was walking at a slow pace through the mountain trying to reach the beach of Agia Marina.
The video purportedly shows the TV doc collapsing on the rocks - indicating he was probably exhausted, Proto Thema reports.
