I made £400 in 11 days just from walking dogs – here’s my top tips including the key app you should be using

A SIDE-HUSTLE whizz has shared how she managed to make almost £400 in 11 days, just from walking dogs.

Natalie shared her money making tips via a video posted to her TikTok channel, where she is known as @starta2024businesswithme.

The TikToker is on a mission to make an extra £75,000 in 2024, and often uses her account to post side hustle tips and tricks.

In the video, Natalie explained that she makes her dog walking money through an app called Rover.

Prospective dog walkers can set up a profile for free on the app and then pet owners can scroll through Rover to find suitable people in their area.

In the past 11 days, Natalie has done 13 drop in visits (where she went round to someone's house to feed their pets), 10 dog walks and one pet sitting weekend.

The total she earned from this was £395.52.

Natalie said that when using Rover, it is important to be very active on the app and reply to messages quickly, as the algorithm will boost your profile.

She added that she spent a lot of time adding pictures of herself with her own dog and friends and family's dogs to the site when she first downloaded the app.

This helped to show dog owners that she is very experienced in looking after pets.

Natalie also made a very detailed personalised bio and got friends and family members to write testimonials to show that she is a responsible dog walker.

She said that she thinks the reason she has been successful on Rover, is partly due to the fact that there are many dog owners near where she lives.

The money-making pro said that she believes that Rover will play a large part in her goal to make an extra £75,000.

Natalie explained that she usually walks the dogs on her work lunch break, as most pet owners want their dogs to be walked during the day.

She added that because she works full-time she is very limited with the amount of time she can spend walking dogs, so someone with more flexible working hours could make much more.

Natalie said: "I do think it's achievable to be really successful on Rover, but it does really depend on where you live and the prices that you set".

Sharing a top tip for beginners on the app, Natalie advised researching other dog walkers in your local area, and undercutting them on price by a few pounds.

She said that once you've got your first few bookings, you can gradually increase your prices to allow you to make more money.

Natalie's video has likely left many impressed, as the video has racked up almost 330,000 views.

TikTok users raced to the video's comments section to share their thoughts on Natalie's tips.

One user said: "This sounds like a really good challenge.

"Thank you for introducing me to Rover, I will have to look into it."
