I’m Mary Earps’ hairdresser – here’s how to get her SPOTY look at home for the party season
FOLLOWING her win at BBC Sports Personality of the Year, England goalkeeper Mary Earps quickly became the style crush of the nation.
And if you’re anything like us, you’ll be hoping to emulate her bouncy blow dry come Christmas Day.
After netting a deal with hair styling brand, Mark Hill Hair, Mary has been showstopping as well as shotstopping with stylists helping her achieve her red carpet look.
But while few of us will be lucky enough to have our own personal hairdresser on hand, stylists at Mark Hill have revealed how you can recreate the look yourself at home:
STEP 1
Use a curling wand with a built-in clip. It makes curling the whole strand of hair, from root to tip, easier without burning your fingers.
STEP 2
Once curled, pin to your head and let the curl cool down.

STEP 3
Once the whole head is pinned and cooled, unpin it and brush through to unify the curls.
STEP 4
For the front pieces use a slightly smaller barrel for a more defined curl. Finish with hairspray.

This month the England number one was also recognised at the British Vogue Forces For Change Awards, where she was crowned an Honouree, and appeared alongside some other Lionesses at the GQ Men of the Year Awards 2023.
