BAKE Off legend Prue Leith was forced to apologise tonight as she swore live on air.
The 84-year-old was told off by The One Show host Alex Jones as she let slip the expletive while chatting about her new show.
During the interview Alex said: “One of the things that is new on this programme, is a brand new celebrity, it’s your husband, John.”
Prue replied: “I know, I’m very frankly pissed off about it.”
Shocked, Alex said: “Well, Prue Leith, you can’t say that on The One Show, it’s a family show.”
Prue quickly said: “ I am sorry, I am very unhappy about it because he has turned out to be an absolute star.”

Those watching at home were equally as gobsmacked by the swearing, with one person commenting: “Prue leith swearing live on the one show at 7:30pm has sent me west.”
A second said: “#MiriamMargolyes has some competition As #PrueLeith sling’s Profanities about her Husband on #TheOneShow.”
While a third said: “@BBCTheOneShow love @PrueLeith only dropping the p word live, made me chuckle.”
