I give my daughter broken toys I found in the park & buy charity shop lingerie for my hubby… I’m a proud cheapskate
A PROUD cheapskate has revealed the bizarre ways she likes to save money - from second-hand knickers to using other people's breastmilk.
Apple Melecio has a number of tricks up her sleeve to save cash for her family, not that her hubby is a big fan of it.
Sharing her top tips with the hit TV show Extreme Cheapskates by TLC she said she often goes to the park with her tot to pick up unwanted, broken toys to take home.
"Kids leave toys all the time if they're unclaimed, why not pick them up and take it home with you cuz they're free," Apple said as she spotted a broken tractor on the floor with only two wheels.
Her husband pointed out the fact the toy was damaged but Apple insisted their daughter, Chloe, could still play with.
She also found a doll with no head which they took home and attached a pony head to.

Victor, her husband says Apple's frugal tenancies intensified after Chloe was born and she now spends her free time doing anything to cut back the families living expenses.
Apple has even go so far as to use other people's breast milk to feed Chloe so she doesn't have to fork out on store-bought milk as well as cutting up their old clothes to make cloth nappies.
She explained that she stopped producing her own milk so decided to take it form friends and even co-workers, claiming Chloe preferred her friend's, Jessica, to everyone elses.
And to top it off, it saves Apple £1,000 a year on average instead of buying it at the supermarket.
Buying lingerie in the thrift store is a great way to spice things up in the bedroom.

"Having a baby made me more obsessed with saving money," she explained.
"After college I was cheap but then after having a baby it made me extremely cheap."
She also makes her own baby wipes at home and reuses them if they only have a small amount of dirt.
In addition, Apple bagged a free changing table from a gas station going out of business rather than buying a new one for hundreds of pounds.
The couple say that since becoming parents, they have had little time for each other under the sheets - especially when Apple's free time is spent finding discounts.
But in the episode, the couple decided to make time for each other to prove love doesn't have to cost a thing.
Apple headed to a local charity shop to find the right outfit for the occasion, specifically, some second-hand lingerie.
"Buying lingerie in the thrift store is a great way to spice things up in the bedroom," Apple continued.
"Some people think that shopping at a thrift store for lingerie is gross, but you know I don't see anything wrong with it."
Picking out a selection of babydoll dresses and lingerie sets, Apple headed to the changing room where one thong looked particularly 'crusty' she claimed as she gave them a sniff.
She settled for a black and pink babydoll dress which was £2.50 and a silk blue robe to get steamy with her husband later on.
The clip posted to TLC's YouTube channel received a mixed response form viewers.
One person wrote: "My problem isn't that she thrifts used lingerie. My problem is that she feels comfortable letting the world know it."
Another commented: "This can’t be real."
"Dirty and gross, used underwear should be illegal," penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: "Her poor husband!"
