Ugly Betty star Eric Mabius ARRESTED in Florida for ‘battery’ as he’s seen with black eye in mugshot
UGLY Betty star Eric Mabius has been arrested for battery in Florida as cops release his shocking mugshot.
The actor, 53, was detained at the Nassau County Jail and Detention Center just before 6am, as first reported by TMZ.
In a charge sheet seen by The Sun, he faces two misdemeanor charges, battery and resisting an officer without violence.
Mabius' unrecognisable mugshot appeared to show the Ugly Betty star with a bruised and cut right eye.
The 53-year-old is best known for his role as Daniel Meade on Ugly Betty alongside America Ferrera.
He played the Mode fashion editor while the popular show ran from 2006-2010.

Mabius shot to fame in the mid to late 1990s featuring on hit programmes such as The L Word and Chicago Hope.
While Ugly Betty was his breakthrough role, his other credits include The O.C., Blue Bloods, Chicago Fire, Scandal and many more.
He also starred in starred in the 2019 Hallmark movie It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas, and the Hallmark series Signed, Sealed, Delivered.
Speaking to TV Tonight in 2021, Mabius confirmed there have been talks about a possibly reunion or revival of Ugly Betty.
He said: "There’s something being discussed, but I’m not at liberty to say.
"We had an abrupt ending and I think that we all felt that we didn’t have enough time to finish telling the stories that needed to be told,' he shared.
"I think Ugly Betty was ahead of its time and I think that it would be more timely right now than ever."
Mabius' most recent on-screen role was in Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up, in 2023.
