I breastfeed my sister’s baby so she can ‘get stuff done’ – trolls say it’s weird, we call it teamwork

BEING a mum can be stressful at the best of times, with many new mums struggling to get a moment to themselves as they provided around-the-clock care for their little ones.

Whilst it is important to have your family to support you, one woman has raised a few eyebrows after taking on a rather hands-on approach to feeding.

When Emily Boazman learned that her younger sister Kate was expecting, the social media star was eager to help out where she could.

Having given birth to her own baby, the mum-of-three was well equipped to help out with everything from changing nappies to bedtime routines.

Whilst most relatives are willing to lend a helping hand, the Tiktok star shocked fans by revealing how she’d been supporting her sister.

In a now viral video on the app, the influencer can be seen nursing her niece whilst the exhausted mum is sat in the background getting some much needed breakfast.

As the infant happily nurses, Emily happily tells her followers that she is feeding the tiny tot whilst Kate ‘recovers’.

Her sister explains: "I've already fed her, she just loves the nipple."

Kate then reveals that the little one is incredibly hungry, telling viewers: “She just wants to nurse 24/7 so I’ll just pop in and give her a little feed so Kate can get stuff done besides feeding.”

Unsurprisingly, the short clip has gone viral and has been seen over 1.6 million times – despite being uploaded just over a week ago.

In fact, the video has broken the internet with viewers debating whether it is appropriate to wet nurse another person’s child.

As the video quickly racked up views, many women shared their own experience of helping other mums in need of milk.

One kind-hearted commentor wrote: “I nursed for a total stranger in the emergency room once. I could see the stress in their eyes and asked if I could help them."

Another revealed that they’d struggled with feeding their little one formula, when a friend offered to help them.

They said: “My 2nd was wet nursed by my friend bc I was at a dental appointment and baby wouldn’t take the bottle.”

A third shared that their grandmother had nursed a neighbour’s baby, after the mother tragically died in childbirth.

The heart-breaking comment read: "My grandmother nursed both my mom and the neighbour's baby. Her dad would just bring her over when she needed to eat. She and my mom were best friends their entire lives."

Others weren’t so convinced by the video, with a fourth stating: “I don’t know if it would be for me, but if it works for other people, I think it’s really nice to see moms supporting other moms and their babies!!”

Whilst some mums might not feel comfortable with breastfeeding others, it seems this has become a regular thing for Tiktok star Emily.

In fact, the mum-of-three later shared a series of clips of her nursing her niece and calling for wet-nursing to be more widely accepted.

We guess this is what they meant, when they said it takes a village to raise a child.
