Hit BBC gameshow returning to screens for new series – 46 years after first ever episode
A BRAND new series of a hit BBC gameshow is set to hit screens in just days.
The popular show first debuted on the Beeb 46 years ago and is still going strong in 2025.
Despite undergoing some changes, Blankety Blank remains a firm favourite and a staple of Saturday nights on BBC One.
A brand new run of the programme, fronted by The Chase star Bradley Walsh, will begin airing on Saturday 19 April.
Bradley has been fronting the show since the BBC opted to revive the programme back in 2021.
It started as a Christmas special before remaining on the channel for full-length series.

On the first episode of the new series, a slew of famous faces will be on-hand to help the contenders out.
Aiming to help the lucky players will be Coronation Street's Antony Cotton, comedians Nish Kumar and Rosie Jones as well as Birds of a Feather actress, Lesley Joseph.
EastEnders actor Shane Richie and Spice Girl Mel B round out the stars.
Revealing why he jumped at the chance to be involved in hosting the revival, Bradley previously said: "I struggle to remember the last time I laughed as much as when I was filming Blankety Blank – so when they asked if I’d be up for doing a series, I jumped at the chance.
"I’m just so pleased I get to be a part of it.
"I stand on the shoulders of giants like Les Dawson and Sir Terry Wogan, but I’m hoping to put my own stamp on the fantastically nostalgic show."
The new series will have 10 episodes each.
Some of the celebrities appearing on the episodes will be Dame Kelly Holmes, Rob Beckett, Judi Love, Jack Dee, Omid Djalili, Joe Swash, Jordan Banjo and Su Pollard.
