Hundreds of Hezbollah fighters injured as their walkie-talkies EXPLODE after being ‘hacked by Israel’ in massive attack
HUNDREDS of Hezbollah fighters have reportedly been injured after their walkie-talkies exploded in Lebanon.
The pager devices have blown up across the country in what Lebanese media is claiming is a massive "hacking attack" by Israel.
A Hezbollah source told AFP: "Dozens of Hezbollah members have been wounded in the south and in Beirut's southern suburbs after their pagers exploded."
Another source close to Hezbollah said the incident was a result of an "Israeli breach" of its communications.
Videos circulating on social media reportedly show the explosions happening, with one showing a man's bag exploding in a grocer.
Shoppers sprint for their lives away from the man as he is knocked over onto the ground by the detonation.
Reuters said hundreds were injured and ambulances were now rushing through the capital as "widespread panic" has hit the city.
One Hezbollah official, speaking on anonymity, told the agency the pager explosions was the "biggest security breach" of the war so far.
