Top Brit band reveal huge UK tour to mark 30-year anniversary after re-forming in 2007

SHED Seven will be celebrating their 30th anniversary by going out on a huge tour across the UK.

The band shot to fame in the mid-90s and became a definitive sound in alternative rock, with tracks including ‘Going For Gold’ and ‘Chasing Rainbows’ even making it into the official charts.

After losing three members over the course of their run, and even temporarily splitting from 2004 to 2007, the current line-up is comprised of frontman Rick Witter, guitarist Paul Banks, bassist Tom Gladwin, keyboardist Tim Wills and drummer Rob Maxfield.

In January 2024, they released a new album, A Matter Of Time, which reached number one.

Announcing their celebratory tour, the dates were posted on Instagram with a message from Rick that read: “This tour is our way of saying thank you to all our incredible fans, both old and new.

“So whether you’ve been with us from the beginning or are just discovering/re-discovering our music, we would love you to join us for what will be an unforgettable celebration of 30 years of Shed Seven.

Celebrating their resurgence on January this year, Rick told The Sun: "It’s taken us 30 years so we’ve put in the hours.

“I remember when me and [lead guitarist] Paul started writing songs as 13-year-olds, we said the aim is a number one.

“I just didn’t think we’d achieve it in our 50s.”

“Life’s a funny thing and you’ve got to ride it like a wild animal. You fall off and get back on for more wild rides," he later added.

“The older I get the more I want to look forward and enjoy rather than look back and regret.

“I think it’s amazing that in the very first week of our 30th anniversary year we have released a brand-new set of songs."
