Second suspect charged in murder investigation as police name victim

A second suspect has been charged in a murder investigation into the death of a man in Dundee.

Steven Hutton, 43, was found seriously injured inside a property on the city's Charleston Road on Saturday night.

Mr Hutton was taken to Ninewells Hospital, where he died on Sunday.

Police Scotland said his family have asked for "privacy at this difficult time".

Mr Hutton's death is being treated as murder following a post-mortem examination and "extensive enquiries" are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, the force added.

In an update on Wednesday, police said a second man had been arrested and charged in connection with the death.

The 39-year-old suspect is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court today.
