Car ploughs into two children near crossing leaving one fighting for their life – as driver arrested
A CHILD is fighting for their life and another is in hospital after a car smashed into them near a crossing.
The driver of a silver Toyota Yaris was arrested after the motor crashed into the pair of pedestrians on Ransdale Road in Bradford, West Yorkshire, last night.
The two children were rushed to hospital by ambulance with one suffering from life-threatening injuries.
West Yorkshire Police said yesterday: "A report was received at 6:32pm today (Sunday, February 9) of a collision involving a silver Toyota Yaris and two child pedestrians on Ransdale Road near the junction with Ramsey Street.
"Both of the pedestrians have been taken to hospital by ambulance, one with life-threatening injuries.
"A man, understood to be the driver of the Yaris, was arrested at the scene."
