International football star ‘had car wrecked & was robbed at gunpoint’ by thugs as he was leaving stadium after match

SHOCKING footage shows footballer David Neres being escorted to safety after he was robbed at gunpoint after his team's victory.

The Brazilian sportsman, 27, was forced to hand over his watch after a pair of armed thugs shattered the window of his black minibus.

The thieves, who were on a motorbike, threatened Neres with a gun as he left the car, before he cowed and gave up his watch.

It's not certain how much the watch is worth.

They brazenly fled the scene with his watch, according to L'Unione Sarda.

Neres was travelling with his wife but the couple were left uninjured and the clips shows them guided into the hotel by his bodyguard.

They were travelling to their hotel after Napoli secured a 2-1 win against Parma.

The crime has been reported to Italian cops and the shaken sportsman was welcomed into Grand Hotel Parker's in Naples by fans awaiting him.

Neres' wife wrote on X: "David would like to apologize to the fans who were waiting for him outside.

"As they were trying to leave the stadium after the match, two men on a motorcycle wrecked his car and robbed him at gunpoint."
