The 1% Club star reveals behind-the-scenes secrets of ITV quiz – from ‘strategic’ seating to dance breaks with Lee Mack
A CONTESTANT who appeared on The 1% Club has revealed behind-the-scenes secrets - including its 'strategic' seating arrangements.
The ITV series, which is hosted by comedian Lee Mack, has become a fan-favourite hit since its launch in 2022.
100 contestants compete for a £100,000 prize pot by answering 15 logic-inspired questions that get progressively harder.
It kicks off with a question which 90 per cent of the population polled got right.
It then goes on to ask questions which smaller and smaller percentages of the country got right, culminating with a 1% question.
And now one contestant has spilled all of the behind-the-scenes secrets when the cameras aren't rolling.

Kyle Talbot appeared on last Saturday's show, hoping to bag himself a piece of the cash jackpot.
However, things didn't go according to plan for the 27-year-old and he was eliminated at the second question.
After his short-lived experience, Kyle now reckons contestants are 'strategically placed and seated' by show bosses next to certain people.
He explained to the MailOnline: "Let's say for example I'm from Grimsby, we've got a football rivalry with Wrexham quite a bit, I was sat next to someone from Wrexham. I think that's done purposely, which is a good laugh."
The filming process for The 1% Club was long and gruelling - taking a whopping seven hours in total for just a 60-minute episode.
While it was an intense day, Kyle praised Lee Mack, saying he was "polite, a good laugh and kind of what you want him to be in a way".
Contestants were given a break during filming, which saw them let loose - including host Lee.
Kyle explained there was "a disco atmosphere sort of thing" in the studio.
He continued by revealing contestants can't see the studio cameras, which are hidden away.
Reflecting on his experience, Kyle added: "I think it's more just kind of watching them back to almost try and learn what to look at, sometimes the answer's in the question, sometimes it's not."
While Kyle walked away empty handed, he did offer advice to potential players.
He said: "I suppose even practising questions, doing it to a timer, because if 30 seconds feels fast at home, 30 seconds live in the studio feels like about three seconds."
