Skincare expert Bouchra Sfakes (@bouchrasfakes) also knows a thing or two about hair care, as she revealed in a clip.

On wash day, she does more than simply shampoo and conditioner.

Her extra step involves a simple three ingredient hack that she claims will leave your hair bouncy, shiny, and full.

“Rice water for extreme hair growth,” she said.

Begin by pouring one cup of jasmine rice into a bowl.

Next, you’ll want to wash the rice twice by simply pouring water into the bowl, massaging the rice around, then draining out the water.

Once that’s clean, you’ll want to boil the rice in a pot of water and throw in a couple lemon peels.

After it’s been cooked, let it cool and strain the mixture into a mason jar so that you’re only left with the murky water.

Finally, seal it in the jar, pop it in the refrigerator, and let it ferment overnight.

In a follow up clip, she demonstrated the application.

Begin by rinsing your hair with the rice water, pouring the whole thing over your hair and scrubbing throughout.

Once it’s soaked, twist your ends into a bun and let them absorb the water for an hour.

And finally, rinse it out before applying shampoo and conditioner as usual.

Bouchra sang the technique’s praises: “This is one of my favorite methods for hair growth due to its holistic approach and being a simple and effective way to achieve your hair goals.

"[It] has been used for generations by the Yao women to promote extreme hair growth."

Besides growth, the benefits for the hair include repairing split ends and enhancing smoothness and shine, she explained, adding that the mixture has no harsh chemicals and is loaded with nutrients.
