VIEWERS have been keen to figure out what's ahead this Christmas Day as a murder is set to take place in the Queen Vic.
While fans get ready to know more, EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick cleared up another mystery and it's all about his love life.
The 29-year-old BBC One soap star is best known for portraying fan favourite Jay Brown.
Earlier this year, the mechanic was left with a void in his life after his wife Lola Pearce succumbed to a terminal brain tumour.
Fans of the London-based drama were left in tatters when the devastating health storyline came to an end - but they were happy to know that, off-screen, the chemistry between Jamie and his on-screen wife Danielle Harold was going strong.
The pair were rumoured to even be romantically involved as their characters endured tear-jerking moments before Lola drew her last breath and the rumours have stuck.
Soon after Lola's passing, Jay bumped into her doppelganger, Nadine Keller, and began to spend time with her.
Once again, Jamie was the subject of rumours according to which he had moved on from Danielle and embarked on another relationship with Nadine actress Jazzy Phoenix.
Speculation around the actor's love life has been rife, thus prompting him to finally set the record straight ahead of his upcoming Strictly appearance this Christmas.
"They linked me with Jazzy and they linked me with Danielle", Jamie told The Mirror.
"I'm just surprised they haven't linked me with (Strictly Come Dancing partner) Nancy (Xu)!"
Jamie has made it clear that, despite rumours, he is not romantically involved with either of his co-stars - they are simply close friends.
But does this mean the soap star is available? Some of his fans may be pleased to know that is the case.
"There is no lady on the scene at the minute, I'm just enjoying the quiet life", Jamie added.
He then went on to share more information about his strong bond with newcomer Jazzy Phoenix, who joined the EastEnders line-up earlier this year as sex worker Nadine.
"We got on like a house on fire. Like brother and sister", he recalled.
"Nadine left a bit sudden, but as quick as they leave, they come back!"
As mentioned above, Jamie will be trying his luck on the iconic Strictly ballroom as part of the competition's Christmas special, airing at 4.40pm on BBC One.
He will be joined by a host of familiar faces, including BBC Breakfast's Sally Nugent, Waterloo Road actress Tillie Amartey, Sugababes star Keisha Buchanan, historian Dan Snow and rugby player Danny Cipriani.
On-screen, Jay Brown was given the shock of a lifetime in recent EastEnders scenes as Lola came back from the dead with an emotional message ahead of his Christmas celebrations.
Speaking of which, Albert Square residents will be a place of horror tonight as six of Walford's strongest and favourite matriarchs will be involved in a shocking murder.
