SPRING is almost here, and while the weather's still a little chilly you'll want to keep some layers of clothing close by – and we've found the perfect item in the New Look sale.

Warm and stylish, this padded cropped gilet comes in five different colours on the New Look website, with all sizes currently still available to buy.

Usually costing £34.99, the sale price varies between colours, from £15 for this khaki colour (and perhaps our favourite) to £26.24 for the dark grey version.

With a high zip-up neck, thick padded fabric and slightly cropped hem, it layers brilliantly under and over other clothing items.

This makes it an excellent transitional piece for this time of year, especially when the changing weather can make it awkward to dress for, and is useful for activities such as walking the dog, gardening or running errands.

New Look shoppers agree, as almost all of the reviews it has received have been five-star ones, with customers calling it stylish and trendy.
