Vinted fan shares genius hack to turn a plastic bag into a parcel complete with a handle – and it’ll save you a fortune

A VINTED super fan has revealed a genius hack that will save you a fortune when it comes to selling things on the app.

"I am not gonna spend however much on parcel bags - save your money and you've got your full profit," she said in a video on TikTok.

While she wouldn't send something in a cereal box, she said that a plastic bag is waterproof, so "what's the issue?"

"Honestly, send me my Vinted parcel in whatever you can find and you make your money huns."

She went on to explain just how she wraps up her parcels using a plastic bag for life.

"I used to cut the top off and just wrap it all around, but now I've seen this video, this is bloody life changing," she said.

"So wrap it as you would, and then once you've wrapped the top like that, you wanna leave the handle sticking out.

"And then I fold the sides in, so that it just makes it a bit smaller.

"And then I'll tape all the way around this, and you can see it's kind of a little handbag."

Olivia added she'll "probably tape the handles together" and then when the buyer collects it, they get to carry a "little handbag".

"And I don’t even know why they complain when bags literally cost 15p these days, that’s a free bag for them," one person commented on the video.

"I know! They're like 40p in Morrisons now!" OIivia replied.

"Genius - totally upgraded my parcels!" another said.

"Well good idea," a third praised.

As someone else wrote: "People are so moany. It’s wrapped!"

"Honestly! It's not that deep," Olivia agreed.

Despite Olivia saying a cereal box is the worst wrapping she's seen, other TikTok videos have gone viral after people complained about theirs.

One woman had hers sent to her in a (clean) nappy, while someone else used a multipack bag of crisps to wrap another man's top in.
