Princess Anne leaves hospital after being treated for head injuries

Princess Anne has left Southmead hospital in Bristol, where she was being treated for minor head injuries and concussion, and returned to her Gatcombe Park home.

The Princess Royal, 73, was thought to have been either headbutted or kicked by a horse on her estate in Gloucestershire on Sunday.

Her husband, V Adm Sir Tim Laurence, said in a statement: “I would like to extend my warmest thanks to all the team at Southmead hospital for their care, expertise and kindness during my wife’s short stay.”
