A Place in The Sun’s Laura Hamilton reveals her favourite foreign family holiday and it’s surprisingly affordable
A PLACE in the Sun's Laura Hamilton spends her year touring cool holiday homes in sunny Europe, but her favourite place to relax on her own vacations is a well-known holiday park chain.
Laura, known for presenting the Channel 4 show that helps house-hunters find their dream property abroad, is well-versed in travel and where is guaranteed a good time while staying on a budget.
The 42 year old, who has been presenting the show for 12 years, is a huge fan of Eurocamp parks - which have locations across the likes of France, Spain, Croatia and Italy.
Laura told Sun Travel: "If you've got kids, then the Eurocamps in France are great.
"You can stay in a lodge and the kids' activities are second to none."
Laura's favourite Eurocamp site for a holiday with her two children, Rocco, 12, and Tahlia, 10, was the Pomport Beach campsite near Monbazillac, Dordogne.

She added: "The kids love getting to do a bit of wild swimming in the lakes and horse riding. It's a fun holiday for them."
She also loves taking her family to mainland Spain, including, unusually for Brits... skiing.
The travel presenter is a big fan of the mountain sport, and has taken her family numerous times over the years.
She is particularly fond of Spanish skiing, as it can often be more cost effective.
She said: "Sierra Nevada in Spain is not well-known to the UK market for skiing, but it's quite affordable.
"There's a really good app through Wise, a corporate transfer card. On their website, they advise people on some really good affordable ski holidays."
The handy website offers insight into the most affordable places for a ski trip with information on exchange rates as well as the average price of food and hotels.
Laura's love for travel goes beyond filming for A Place in the Sun, and she has named some of her favourite places to go, from the Bahamas to Montenegro.
But some of her fondest memories are when she holidayed with her parents in the UK.
Laura shared: "When I was nine my mum and dad got a caravan. So we would always go away every weekend to a different place in the UK."
