A HAIR influencer has shared the homemade serum she uses to grow her locks out.
She said her hair is now three feet long and grows like a weed — and she insists her DIY mix is the key.
Tessa (@tessapeay) shared the hair serum recipe in a video with over 1.6 million TikTok followers.
First, she picked some fresh rosemary sprigs and washed them in water before letting them dry.
Next, she boiled water in a double boiler: "A double boiler works best so the rosemary cooks without burning," she explained.
While attempting to put a glass bowl over the boiler, the glass cracked, teaching Tessa a valuable lesson.
"Make sure to use heat-protected glass," she said.
With a second, sturdier bowl, she added a cup of avocado oil, rosemary leaves, and whole cloves.
She let the mixture boil for 20 minutes and then let the oil cool completely.
Next, she strained the oil in a bottle, adding two teaspoons of almond oil, two teaspoons of jojoba oil, a teaspoon of castor oil, a teaspoon of argan oil, 20 drops of peppermint oil, and 20 drops of castor oil infused with vitamin E.
"Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks," she advised.
Tessa explained that since she started using her rosemary hair oil, her hair has not stopped growing.
"Caution: only make this stuff if you’re ready for hair that grows like weeds," she joked.
People advised the influencer to capitalize off her recipe.
