I work a job nobody wants – men say there’s a reason women shouldn’t do it & folk stare as I’m the only girl on site
A FEMALE tradie has revealed she works a job nobody wants - and men constantly tell her it's 'not for girls'.
Darcie Richards, from sunny Australia, revealed some of the bizarre comments she's had on the job where she is usually on the only woman on the building site.
The 28-year-old brick layer hit back at mean trolls who said: "This is why it's a boys job."
While being hard at work, Darcie proved that anyone could do it as she penned: "Just wanted to let you know that women also have opposable thumbs and a brain."
The blonde beauty has proven you can be both feminine and work a physically draining job, calling herself 'builder Barbie'.
Darcie, who loves her job as she gets to sit in the sun all day while working has often been told she should be back in the kitchen then on a building site.

"What's the dishwasher doing playing with blocks?" wrote one.
But Darcie wasn't having it, "You know why comments like this make me laugh?
"Cause if men were earning enough women wouldn't have to go to work."
But it's not just men online who are stunned by her appearance on work sites.
She recalled that it often happened with her fellow colleagues - with many tradesmen being shocked she is the brick layer for the project.
Darcie added that they are often stood around watching her, rather than getting on with their own jobs.
"Don't mind me, just working," she said as she got to building while wearing a chic pink high-vis jacket.
And it seems that Darcie is raking it in as well - in one clip she revealed that she brings in at least £2,000 a week.
Although she admits it can be hard work, she wouldn't think about changing jobs.
"How hard can it be? Found out the hard way, and I wouldn't change it for the world," she added.
While Darcie gets some slack off men for doing what they consider a 'boys job' - she has plenty of female fans who praise her for showing girls can do it just as well.
Her TikTok account @rattle_kings has gone viral with over 270k followers and 8million likes.
People were quick to praise her in the comments of her posts.
One person wrote: "As the only girl on site working with men I feel this lol."
Another commented: "Always gotta be “proving” yourself."
"She inspires me sm," penned a third.
