We converted our van into a full-time home… electricity is FREE & it even has a shower

A COUPLE converted their van into a full-time home so they could tour around Europe.

Court Watkins, from New Zealand, took to her TikTok page to reveal Roger - a Ford Transit which has been turned into a "little cottage on wheels".

The duo transformed the long wheel base and high top van themselves over several years and had no prior experience.

Court wrote: "It involved many late nights, lots of trial and error and a huge amount of satisfaction finally being able to film this video."

Captioning the footage "entering my van life era", Court can be seen pulling open the van's sliding door.

She then gives viewers a little tour of her home on wheels revealing a kitchen sink, storage facilities and even a shower.

The pair also maximise space in the van with a retractable desk and bed.

"We've just started our six month Euro tour and living in it full time has been a dream so far," Court added.

The video has since gone viral receiving more than million views and over 270,000 likes.

And fans were quick to comment on Roger, with some more critical than others.

One said: "The pull out table doesn't look very stable."

Another asked: "Where do you wash/dry your clothes?"

"It's only been two weeks and so far just at laundromats," Court replied. "Once it gets warmer we have a lil rack to put outside."

A third user commented: "No way I'm showering there."

A final person questioned how they charged the van with Court responding that they get electricity from the sun.

It comes after a woman who lives in a converted van with her partner revealed how they're able to live a lifestyle spending hardly any money.

Another man reveals how he converted a 15-year-old hatchback he bought on eBay for £650 into a cosy micro-camper.

Elsewhere, another couple are converting a double-decker bus into a home to live in after being unable to afford a house - and they have big plans for it.
