Man released on bail after Ladbroke Grove shooting which seriously injured girl, 8

A 22-year-old man has been released on bail over a shooting in west London which left an eight-year-old girl and a man seriously injured.

The incident on Southern Row in Ladbroke Grove just after 5.30pm on Sunday involved a number of people in a vehicle - including a two-year-old child.

The eight-year-old girl had surgery on Monday and is now said to be in a stable condition. Her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

The 34-year-old man suffered potentially life-changing injuries.

A 32-year-old woman who was also in the vehicle was taken to hospital as a precaution but was not hurt. The two-year-old was also unharmed.

The 22-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder but has now been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Sky News understands the victims are part of the same family and it has been reported the two wounded people are father and daughter.

Investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances, including any motive.
