‘How on Earth?!’ rage EastEnders fans as they call out baffling Jack Branning and Lucas Johnson blunder
EASTENDERS fans have been left baffled by a Jack Branning and Lucas Johnson scene.
This week, both men have become concerned by Denise Fox's spiralling mental health.
Serial killer Lucas was married to Denise from 2009 to 2011, during which he took her hostage and faked her death.
Meanwhile Jack and Denise have been in a civil partnership since 2021, but Jack has no idea his partner helped bury Keanu Taylor's body after he was killed in the Queen Vic on Christmas Day.
The cop has been relatively dismissive of Denise's mental struggles and assumed she's just got the hump with him after he slept with Stacey Slater before Christmas.
But in Wednesday's episode, Denise paid another visit to Lucas in prison, where the mentally fragile woman begged him to forgive her as a man of God.

Denise told him she had helped bury a body, but didn't reveal who, however, the former pastor didn't believe her and felt she was suffering from a mental breakdown which was making her believe things that weren't true.
His response prompted Denise to flee the prison visiting room, before Lucas was later seen making a call from behind bars.
It was Jack who picked up the call on his mobile while he was discussing his marital woes with Stacey - who he has continued to sleep with behind Denise's back.
"Who's this?" he asked, before Lucas revealed it was him.
Jack asked: "What do you want?" to which the criminal replied: "I know I'm probably the last person you're expecting to hear from right now, but I need to talk to you about Denise."
He then revealed to a shocked Jack that Denise had came to see him that afternoon and added: "She just wanted to talk but...the things she was saying, I'm seriously concerned for her mental health Jack.
"I think she's having some kind of breakdown."
But EastEnders viewers were quick to take to X - formerly Twitter - to question how Lucas had Jack's number in the first place.
One wrote: "How on earth would Lucas know Jack’s number on #EastEnders."
Another tweeted: "I know it’s not real and all that, but how the f*** would Lucas know Jack’s number?"
A third added: "Because Lucas just randomly knows Jack’s mobile number?"
Meanwhile a fourth commented: "How in the world did Lucas get Jack’s mobile number?"
