Chelsea initially demanded £50m for Broja, who has scored only one Premier League goal this season.

The 20 per cent reduction is something of a compromise and shows that Chelsea are hoping to offload their one-time academy player within the next 36 hours.

  • Akpom to make return

Chuba Akpom is reportedly set for a swift return to English football.

The former Arsenal prospect joined Ajax last summer in a £10.5million deal from Middlesbrough.

However, the club could look to let him leave back to England.

According to The Telegraph, a number of Premier League clubs are looking at making a late move for the striker.

  • Ange on transfers

Ange Postecoglou has shut down the prospect of Tottenham making any deadline day signings.

  • Broja on bench

Armando Broja has been named on the bench for Chelsea's trip to Anfield.

  • Rangers deal collapses

Rangers' hopes of signing Jefte this month have collapsed, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Scottish giants had reached a verbal agreement to sign the Brazilian full-back from Fluminense.

Rangers' agreement will remain active in the summer, though, when the deal could finally be completed.

Former Premier League defender Mamadou Sakho is keen on a move to the Saudi Pro League.

The Frenchman is currently a free agent after leaving Montpellier in November.

Newcastle are on the verge of completing the signing of Alfie Harrison from Manchester City.

The youngster has agreed a deal with the club until 2027 with the option of another year.

The 18-year-old midfielder first joined City's academy 11 years ago in 2013.

  • Akpom coming back

Ex-Arsenal ace Chuba Akpom is set for a swift return to English football.

Akpom joined Ajax last summer in a £10.5million deal from Middlesbrough.

The forward has only been with the Dutch giants for six months as the club has performed under expectations this season.

According to The Telegraph, a number of Premier League clubs are looking at making a late move for the ex-England youth international.

The report adds that Ajax are “reluctant” to let Akpom leave the Johan Cruyff Arena this month.

And it would take a permanent offer for the club to be tempted into parting ways with the 28-year-old.

  • Fulham want Broja

Fulham have made an opening offer for Chelsea striker Armando Broja.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Cottagers have launched a loan bid with an option to buy.

Chelsea previously rejected a loan offer from Wolves for the Albanian international.

SunSport understands the Blues value Broja at £40million ahead of Thursday's transfer deadline.

  • Lingard still a free agent

Former Manchester United ace Jesse Lingard missed out on a list-minute move to Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.

The Saudi Pro League transfer window closed last night meaning no more players can head to the Middle East until the summer.

According to Sky Sports, Al-Shabab tried to get a deal over the line for the midfielder before the window slammed shut.

But the Saudi outfit were unable to iron out all the details and lure the former England international to the Middle East.

The 31-year-old will thus remain available as a free agent after he has struggled to find a new home since leaving Nottingham Forest in June.

  • Armando Broja Exclusive

Chelsea have dropped their asking price for Armando Broja to £40million as they get twitchy ahead of Thursday's transfer deadline day.

But Wolves and Fulham are still baulking at the fee for Broja as time ticks away on the chances of a deal being done.

The Blues initially demanded £50m for the striker, who has scored only one Premier League goal this season.

The Albania international is still in the later stages of full recovery from a serious knee injury.

The 20 per cent reduction is something of a compromise and shows that the West Londoners are hoping to offload the 22-year-old within the next 36 hours.

Fulham remain interested but manager Marco Silva was downbeat about the chances of any deal being done by Thursday night at 11pm.

  • Marquinhos on the move

Arsenal ace Marquinhos is close to a return to Brazil before Thursday’s transfer deadline day.

According to the Evening Standard, the 20-year-old is expected to leave the Emirates after two loan stints to Norwich as well as Nantes.

Fluminense are dubbed as the frontrunners to land the winger but Corinthians are also keeping tabs.

The Brazilian transfer window does not close until March and talks are "accelerating" for the Brazil Under-23 international.

  • More on Reyna

Borussia Dortmund ace Giovanni Reyna is set to join Nottingham Forest on loan.

According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, however, Reyna has signed a new deal with Dortmund valid until June 2026.

That means the playmaker's move to Forest is a straight loan without an option to buy.

The USA international is now ready to undergo a medical in Nottingham.

  • Man Utd squad ‘tired’ of Rashford

Manchester United ace Marcus Rashford faces an uphill battle to win over the dressing room as his teammates have grown tired of his selfish behaviour.

Rashford was regarded as one of the team’s leaders and manager Erik ten Hag held him in such high regard that some within the dressing room believe he was happy to let players who he feared were a bad influence on him to leave.

But despite being at the club since he was a boy, the 26-year-old has now been left feeling isolated after his friends were either sold or sent out on loan.

Marcus no longer has the same lads around him and doesn’t get involved in the banter as much.

He can be very moody in training and in games and just doesn’t seem happy.

He doesn’t really hang around with any of the players anymore and seems distant.

  • Johnson on Klopp replacement

Former Liverpool ace Glen Johnson has claimed that Xabi Alonso replacing manager Jurgen Klopp would "scare" him.

I’d be a bit scared to appoint Xabi Alonso or Steven Gerrard.

The next appointment is going to be really tough and I’d be worried about bringing someone in with so little experience.

Also, I think we’ve seen bringing a legend back to manage the club can often not work out.

  • PSG target Rashford

Paris Saint-Germain are interested in landing Manchester United star Marcus Rashford after he held showdown talks with manager Erik ten Hag.

Rashford claimed to be too ill to train on Friday, before it emerged he had been partying in Belfast the previous night.

The forward subsequently missed the Red Devils’ 4-2 victory over Newport in the FA Cup.

PSG previously showed interest in the England international before he signed a new five-year deal last summer.

According to the i, The Ligue 1 champions are “tempted” to come back in for the 26-year-old at the end of the season.

The Manchester giants do not plan to sell their homegrown star and he is also claimed to not be seeking a move at the moment.

Following his disciplinary breach last week, Rashford was slapped with a two-week fine, worth £650,000.

  • Arsenal scout Ousmane Diomande

Arsenal sent scouts to the Africa Cup of Nations to watch Ivory Coast star Ousmane Diomande.

Diomande, who plays for Sporting Lisbon, has been catching the attention of some of the biggest teams in Europe.

According to A Bola, the Gunners are among the heavyweights who are monitoring the centre-back’s progress.

The North Londoners launched a £30m bid for the 20-year-old in the summer only to see it rejected by Sporting but remain interested.

  • Sko for it

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have been put on high alert after RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko’s alleged release clause was revealed.

According to Sky Sports Germany, Sesko will be available for a bargain £43million this summer because of the way his transfer to Leipzig was constructed.

The Bundesliga giants signed the centre-forward for £20.4m from Red Bull Salzburg in the summer with £5m in add-ons, the cheap release clause was added this summer as a “compromise” in the deal.

The Gunners are keen on the Slovenia international and will wait until the summer to sign a forward anyway.

United were heavily linked with the 20-year-old in the summer when they opted to sign Rasmus Hojlund instead but remain in the market for a striker.

The Blues have previously been linked to a summer deal for Sesko, with the West Londoners seeing the Slovenian as a cheaper option to their long-term target Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
