A LEADING travel expert has recommended a handy suitcase set for families checking in for their flight.

Globetrotting influencer Monica Stott, also known as ‘The Travel Hack’, has sworn by the nifty travel essential.

She said: "Is this the best suitcase set for family travels?

"If you’ve ever been to the airport with kids and car seats and pushchairs and suitcases and hand luggage then you will know you need octopus arms and these suitcases are a game changer."

The functional set removes the risk of stray luggage wandering off at the check out counter.

It comes as the travel expert revealed the top gap year destinations – with Slovenia among the best places to visit for those looking to make their money go further.

The Central European country offers stunning greenery and beautiful rivers, a Venetian-style coastline, and snow-capped mountains which are popular with skiers.

Australia is historically popular with those looking to go away for a gap year and earn some extra money as they travel and Monica doesn’t think this is likely to change anytime soon.

Monica also believes Bali is a popular tag-on for those who working their way around Australia, as they can get more 'bang for their buck' there - as well as being an 'Instagram dream' thanks to its waterfalls, white beaches and tropical jungles.
