I didn’t hold out much hope for a £2 ‘facelift’ tool but it’s a total game changer – it worked wonders on my wrinkles

THERE are so many products on the market that claim to be able to fulfil our anti-ageing needs.

So when Laura, 57, came across a £2 'facelift band', she initially thought it was "so stupid", before deciding she "had to try it".

She documented herself trying the product for the first time in a video on her TikTok page, as she said: "Let's see if this is going to give me a facelift in just a few minutes for less than £3."

First of all, she had to figure out where she wanted pulled up, by tugging on different sections of her hair.

When she'd found the bit of hair that pulled up her eyes, she twisted it tightly and used a bobby pin to anchor it in place.

She then used the tool, which looks like a bra strap with combs attached to either end.

Laura attached the comb to one side of her head and, after going through the same process with the hair twist on the left hand side, she stretched it round her head and attached the comb there too.

Once it was in place, she was able to use the strap and tighten it as much as she wanted - much like a bra strap.

"Oh! Can you see that?" she marvelled.

"Look at those hoods - they're up!"

Laura turned round to show what the strap looked like at the back, before arranging the rest of her hair over the top to conceal the band completely.

"It took me maybe a little longer than three minutes, but natural facelift (thumbs up)," she concluded.

My anti-aging makeup facelift took 15 years off my face - your girl has cheekbones, I know it's crazy but make that L

"This facelift band actually really works!" she captioned the video.

People were quick to comment on the clip, with one writing: "Holy cow that actually worked pretty well!"

"My fear it would spring off during a dinner party and fly across the room!" another added.

"I did that with scotch tape just before a zoom meeting," a third commented.

"Will you share if it gave you a headache by the end of the day?"someone else asked.

To which Laura replied: "It’s fine for a few hours. All day may be a little much!"

"I think using it occasionally would not be harmful," another wrote.

"Like special event or photos!"

As someone else agreed: "Perfect for a special occasion like a wedding where you just wanna look fresh for a little while."

"This is known as a ‘council house facelift’ in the UK - usually done with an over-tight high ponytail," another laughed.
