Countdown host trapped 40metres under the ground for four HOURS in terrifying travel chaos
COUNTDOWN host Rachel Riley was among the passengers trapped underground for hours after a huge failure on London's new Elizabeth Line.
The 37-year-old took to X/Twitter to update fans writing: "Nearly 4 hours after we got on, we’re getting off the Elizabeth line, woohoo!"
One fan commented: "Thank goodness- what a nightmare!"
Another added: "Omg sounds a total nightmare so glad you can now get off home."
A third penned: "Hope you’ve been keeping safe and sending love always."
A fourth wrote: "Looks like you kept everyone’s spirits up, nice one Rachel."

Hundreds of passengers - including other celebrities such as musician James Blunt - were stuck in the cold, dark train in west London after a fault with overhead cables forced all services to stop.
James posted on X: "Been stuck somewhere outside Paddington for close to 4 hours now. Out of peanuts and wine."
Rachel shot to fame on the Channel 4 show Countdown in 2009 and is in charge of picking the letters and numbers and revealing the answers to the maths problems.
The star has been on the show for the past 12 years, and presented alongside Nick Hewer.
Rachel is married and shares two kids, Maven Aria, three, and one-year-old Noa, with husband and Former Strictly Come Dancing professional, Pasha Kovalev.
The pair met on the eleventh series of Strictly Come Dancing where she was partnered with the Russian dancer.
