A MAN who scooped a record jackpot on the Postcode Lottery revealed how he almost made a grave mistake.
Kevin Jones, 58, of Llandrindod Wells, was so stunned after his big win that he forgot how many tickets he had bought.
"I totally forgot about the other two tickets," Kevin said.
Each ticket was worth an eye-watering £403,638. So, although one ticket was a big win in itself, the lucky Brit could have have lost out on over £800,000.
Finally having remembered, the accumulated value of all three of his tickets landed him with the impressive sum of £1.2m.
Kevin was the only person with the exact winning postcode, and having bought three tickets he has become the winner of the Postcode Lottery's biggest prize.

The Brit has since revealed that he's planning on using his newfound riches to move into a Sunny Haven Park caravan.
"I’ve been dreaming about the chalets for a long time," he said.
"Every time I pass the place, I imagine living there. It’s nice and quiet and I’m sure the people would be really friendly.
"I’ve always loved my garden and, since I’ve been here, I’ve not had one. That would give me one again. Now my dream can come true."
Although Kevin has said that he will be spending part of his winnings on watching the British Grand Prix and on purchasing a new motor, he has vowed to spend most of it on taking care of his family.
Kevin is the dad to two sons, aged 26 and 24, and has a 30-year-old daughter who is pregnant with his fourth grandchild.
He said: “I’ll get advice and put some money into trust for them.
"I also want to help my brother with some home improvements.
"My brother has always been there for me. He’s a rock to me."
The family man revealed that his stepdad, John Davies, 79, called him the night before, claiming he knew he was going to win big, despite Kevin saying the maximum prize he could possibly win was £2,000.
"My dad said to me yesterday, ‘Get a Bentley and show them,'" Kevin explained.
He added: "I said 'I’m only going to get a grand, dad, or a couple of grand at the most’. But he said, ‘now, it’s your turn now’."
Kevin claims his stepdad is always right most of the time and says now he might just "rent a Bentley and take him out for the day".
