Driver escapes serious injury after van collides with truck, overturns on busy Hong Kong road

He said the man was transported to Yan Chai Hospital with a waist injury, while the truck driver hurt his leg.

Officers from the New Territories South traffic unit are investigating the cause of the accident.

The Transport Department said that due to the accident, part of the Tuen Mun-bound lanes of Castle Peak Road near Sai Lau Kok Road were closed to all traffic as of 11.37am.

Separately, a taxi driver, 63, was found dead in his cab, which had pulled over on Siu Sai Wan Road in Chai Wan at around 7.47am on Monday.

According to the force, the man had illnesses but an autopsy will be carried out to ascertain the cause of death.
