Bournemouth opened the scoring after 37 minutes as Marcus Tavernier tapped in from close range after good work from Antoine Semenyo.

But Newcastle hit back deep into the second-half as Harvey Barnes found Anthony Gordon, who tapped in at the back post.

Both teams probed for a winner - with the Toon seeing efforts from Dan Burn and Bruno Guimaraes saved by Neto.

But there was late VAR drama as Dango Ouattara found the back of the net in the 93rd minute from a corner, however, it was chalked off for handball.

Even Newcastle legend Alan Shearer slammed the decision, tweeting: "A lucky point as that’s an awful decision re handball. Never handball for me."
