My daughter got her friend what I thought was a cute birthday present – but the mum’s horrified reaction let me stunned
A MUM whose daughter got her friend what she thought was a cute birthday present was left stunned by the mother's reaction.
She gave her little girl the chance to choose a gift for her pal, and she chose a Little Live Pets' 'My Pet Pig'.
But after her daughter gave the present to the birthday girl, she received an angry text from her mother.
A video of the interaction was shared on TikTok, with the mum writing: "POV: my daughter gave her friend a birthday present. I'm shocked by the mother's reaction".
"Hello, I am Aisha's mother, did you buy this?" the first message read, alongside a picture of the gift.
"Hello, yes it was Olivia who chose this gift. I hope she likes it,"the mum replied.

To which the other mother responded: "You dare to ask me if she likes it?
"I'll give it back to you at school tomorrow morning.
"How can you give this to my daughter?
"You know very well that we don't eat pork, right?
"It's disrespectful, I can't believe it.
"Do you realise what you have done?"
"I didn't think it would bother you at all," the gift-giver responded.
"I am sincerely sorry."
However, the mum was unwilling to accept the apology, and continued: "Are you kidding me?
"You can imagine that this would shock me.
"It's common sense - you don't offer this to someone who doesn't eat pork.
"You wanted to provoke us.
"Tomorrow morning I'll bring it to you at school, I don't want it. You bring something else for her instead.
"I hope this will serve as a lesson to you."
Despite the angry text messages, the majority of people in the comments section insisted that the mother of the birthday girl was in the wrong.
"We're muslim and my girl had a Peppa pig theme 1st birthday theme," one wrote.
"This mum is deluluuuu!"
"I'm Muslim but that's jus extraaaa!" another added.
"We’re a Muslim family and my daughter is queen of the peppa pig fan club," a third agreed.
"Your replies are so much better than I would of said," someone else admitted.
"You handled it so well. I would never ever be that nice to that kind of disrespect," another said.
As someone else commented: "The nerve of her to demand you bring something else!
"Some people have no manners!"
