I transformed my entire kitchen on the cheap using Ikea bargains… but people spot there’s a vital appliance missing
A WOMAN who transformed her kitchen using bargains from Ikea has left people in awe over how good it looks.
Michelle Jackson, showed off her new modern black and white kitchen on social media - but there was one important detail that caught people's eyes.
Although Michelle had a long kitchen, it appeared quite narrow in pictures - so she wanted to make sure it was as space-saving as possible.
Instead of having loads of in-built counters that would take up lots of space, the savvy woman settled for Kallax units from Ikea.
She used one horizontal in the corner of the room to store pantry goods and used one vertically to act as a counter top and more storage.
To ensure the Kallax would withstand the test of time, she added a counter top on top for preparing food and screwed them into the wall to make sure they wouldn't budge.

With the leftover wood she made a small shelf above to store tea and coffee.
On the next wall she had normal cupboards - using the same wood for the countertops.
On this side of the kitchen was a double-doored fridge and freezer as well as a washing machine and sink, which she got from Amazon.
The savvy homeowner also used some gorgeous black and white patterned vinyl to revamp her floor on the cheap which cost £215.
Speaking to Fabulous, Michelle said that the kitchen cost a total of just £2,000 and that included plastering, electricals, paint, appliances, cabinets, and tiles.
The bargain-hunter added: "My dad was able to do the bulk of the plastering, plumbing and the electrics, and I was a helper, so that saved a lot.
"My mum and myself done the painting, we also cleared the old kitchen together and done tip runs to get rid of the rubbish."
While many people praised Michelle for the incredible transformation, there were plenty who pointed out that a key kitchen appliance was missing from the equation - a hob and oven.
One person wrote: "It’s beautiful… but am I missing where you have put hob and oven??"
Another commented: "I came here to ask the same thing! I love the look of this kitchen though."
"Where is you cooker or oven and hob," penned a third.
Michelle later revealed that she didn't have one as like most of us, she much preferred using her air fryer these days.
She told us: "I mainly use the air fryer, but do have a microwave, moveable hob and slow cooker, I have a mini oven coming this week as all I ever use to use the large oven for was pizzas but it’s sort of a combination of an air fryer as well."
The post shared to the Facebook group, Ikea tips, hacks and more!, was a hit with other DIY fanatics who quickly praised Michelle for the great job she, her mum and dad had done.
Meanwhile a fourth said: "Wow it’s amazing."
