My plus-size Asos haul was going well until I tried a white diamanté corset, the boob dents were the least of my worries
A PLUS-SIZE fashionista has admitted she will be throwing her highly anticipated Asos purchase in the trash.
She ordered a corset as part of her shopping haul to embrace this season’s underwear as an outwear fashion trend.
The TikToker, who posts under the handle @lux_island, shares outfit inspiration for curvy women with over 63,000 followers.
She took to the social media platform to give her opinion on a selection of stylish items she bought from Asos.
Casual set
The fuller-figure fashionista started the haul by trying on a loungewear set in a size UK 20 (US 16).
The v-neck sweater with exposed seams was reduced to $19.50 and sold in sizes 12 to 26 before stock ran out.
“F**king hell this is banging,” she said.
“It’s sewn but raw cut here [the neckline] and then same at the edges. It’s literally just raw cut and I love s**t like this.
“You’ve got cuffed bottoms, and I would have preferred a straight cut but we can go with cuff bottoms.
“This is soft and comfortable. The material oh my God.”
The trendsetter smoothed her hands over the outfit as she repeatedly raved about the comfort and softness of the fabric.
She was delighted to show the exposed seams on the sleeves while posing from different angles.
“I love it, I really love it,” she said. “I think it’s really rustic, I just love the whole style of it.
“Banging absolutely banging, 10 outta 10.”
White corset top
The trendsetter kept the same bottoms on as she changed into an eye-catching satin corset with diamante trim.
The $32.50 top is no longer in stock in ivory, but a blush version is available for just $22.41 on the Asos website.
“I’m not wearing these two together,” she said referring to the lounge pants.
“I’m just simply showing you this corset because I need to show you it on.
“I bought it after seeing it and being like this is so gorgeous with like the bridey bit and the diamantes are really nice.
“I thought this was cute and I’ll wear it with an oversized black blazer, a pair of nice mid-blue mom jeans, and a pair of heels.”
She held up a sparkly pair of slingback heels as she expressed how “banging” they would look with the outfit.
However, the TikToker pointed out major issues with the corset-style top starting with dents on the bust area.
“What on earth,” she said. “I mean that’s the least of my worries.
“It looks like a piece of s**t on me anyway.
“I’m gutted because I really like these little diamantes. Get in the bin lass.”
Despite having decided the corset would be going in the trash can, she opened a necklace that she had bought to complete the outfit.
DesignB London’s curve Leo Starsign necklace was $8 on Asos.
“It’s a plus-size fit so you know all of us with the necks when necklaces get too tight,” she said. “This darling is a plus-size fit.”
The chaotic Asos shopping haul went viral and quickly racked up hundreds of likes from viewers.
