Thrifty fashionista reveals how you can make a DIY Xmas jumper for just 5p
DON'T want to fork out for a new Christmas jumper? Don't worry, as one thrifty fashionista has come to rescue with a simple solution.
The festive season simply wouldn't be complete with the annual Christmas jumper show - whether that's one with glitter and sparkle or a reindeer stitched on.
But rather that dashing to the store to spend money on a new one, one style whizz has demonstrated how you can make one at home.
The secret hack here, turns out, is simple and costs just pennies - a bit of ribbon you can snap up from shops, such as Poundland, for as little as £1.
The designs here are endless - you can pick either a red and white ribbon, a plain green one, others with more sparkle and glitter, just to name a few.
Once you've found the ribbon of your choice - or even multiple for a more fun design - simply snap off a few pieces and tie them onto your knitted jumper.

According to the fashion pros at @penneysgsc, from Ireland, this works best if the knitted garment has larger holes, which makes feeding the ribbon through easier.
You can also make the mini bows bigger or smaller depending on your preference, the video showed.
Once done, the gurus instructed, cut the end off - again, feel free to play with the desired effect as much as you want.
''You can take off the ribbons and wear the jumper all year round!'' the fashionistas added in the video.
Since being shared on the platform, the clip has racked up almost 215k views in just one day, with cash-savvy style lovers racing to thank the store for the trick.
''What a great idea thanks for sharing,'' one person said.
Another chimed in: ''Brilliant idea.''
''Lovely,'' someone else added.
''Wow this is such a great idea! so cute,'' a fourth penned.
Speaking of all things fashion, money-saving shoppers have spotted what they reckon is a ''dupe'' of the viral Drop Earrings by Bottega Veneta - but over £1.1k cheaper.
Similar to the £1,170 version, the discount lookalike at Primark boasts the same gold finish, as well as the iconic teardrop shape.
But whereas the Bottega Veneta jewellery will set you back by a fortune, the budget-friendly pair of earrings scans for just £3.50 at Primark.
A little maths and you will realise you're saving more than £1.1k by swapping the designer pair for the Primark lookalike.
One delighted customer, Danielle Sara Jane, even took to TikTok to share the amazing find she had stumbled across in the store.
Advising others to not sleep on the cheap deal, Danielle said in the caption: ''The perfect statement earring for my gold and my silver gals.''

However, whilst the deal is indeed too good to be slept on, Danielle advised to best not rock the earrings for longer periods of time.
''Probably wouldn’t wear them all the time but if you just put them in for an evening you should be okay!'' she told someone who wondered if they'd be safe for ''sensitive ears''.
