Sky News Breakfast in presenter shake-up as BBC newsreader joins line-up amid huge show changes
SKY News is shaking up it's offering at Breakfast as another presenter leaves the BBC to join the line-up.
Since October 2019, Kay Burley, 63, has fronted the popular early-morning slot on the news network.
But the commercial broadcaster has now announced major changes to the early programme as it aims to compete with the likes of BBC Breakfast, Good Morning Britain and Talk Today on TalkTV.
Breakfast with Kay Burley has now been extended and it will air live every weekday from 6am all the way up to 10am on Sky News.
After ten years working with the BBC, Gareth Barlow, 33, will start the show off from 6am with a fresh new look.
At the publicly funded corporation, he previously worked across various TV and radio programmes including the BBC News channel, BBC Breakfast and Radio 2.
