Pamela Anderson shares ‘wild’ experience on new movie The Last Showgirl – as critics praise her for incredible comeback
PAMELA Anderson has shared her 'wild' experience filming an acclaimed movie - while being praised by critics for an incredible comeback.
The Canadian-born actress and model, 57, plays veteran showgirl Shelly Gardner in The Last Showgirl.
She has now opened up about the 'wild' and 'exciting' time filming the 2024 film.
Speaking on The Graham Norton Show - which airs tonight - Pamela revealed: “I am enjoying the moment – it has been very exciting doing a movie at this stage of my life and it’s really wonderful.
“It’s a very relatable story and I had a lot of empathy for the character – I fell in love with her.
"It is a very touching and beautiful and not at all violent or exploitative towards women. We shot the movie in 18 days, which was wild.

"Playing Roxy in Chicago on Broadway was the warm-up for this role and I am so proud to be a part of it. I love independent cinema, and I can’t wait to do more.”
Addressing how the role found its way to her, she said: “I was making pickles and writing a cookbook and making my life beautiful no matter what but I had this kind of sadness thinking I had so much more to give.
"So, when the script arrived I thought, ‘I am going to grab this part by the throat and do it.’”
Asked whether this marks a new chapter for her, she replied: “I hope so. There are lots of things in the works, so I am deciding what I want to do next.
"I want challenging roles, I want to transform and see what I am made of. I feel like I have only just scratched the surface.”
Pamela first rose to prominence starring opposite Tim Allen in 90s sitcom Home Improvement.
She portrayed "Lisa", who worked on the lead character's fictitious show Tool Time.
Pamela then achieved further stardom through her role as CJ Parker on action drama series Baywatch.
The show ran from 1989 to 2001 and followed lifeguards patrolling beaches in LA County and Hawaii.
She starred alongside David Hasselhoff from 1992 to 1997, spanning five seasons.
For her performance in The Last Showgirl, Pamela has been nominated for Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild awards.
Meanwhile, the plot sees her character Shelly grappling with an uncertain future.
Shelly discovers the revue she has performed in for three decades is scheduled to close.
