A HAIR influencer has revealed the routine and products she swears by that repaired her damaged hair.
She said one was especially effective at improving her hair's volume when it was lacking.
Ashley (@ashley.paiige) shared the list of tips with over 300,000 TikTok followers.
"About a year and a half ago, my hair was up to here and legitimately a sixth of the thickness," she said.
After intensive research and product-searching, she settled on a definitive list of tips that worked.
"The number one thing I recommend everyone start doing is hair oiling and masking at least once a week," she said.
She explained she covered her scalp in oil and her ends in a hair mask.
"I tend to reach for the Colleen Rothschild the most but this is a really good drugstore option," she said, holding up the California Naturals Hair Masque, $10.
For daily use, she explained she swapped out a hair conditioner for a hair mask.
"I just noticed that it's 100% shinier and stronger when I do this," she explained.
For those who really need the help, she recommended the Virtue Labs Recovery Shampoo, $17.
"I used it when my hair was actually falling out in clumps and it saved my hair — because it's a keratin formula, I don't use it every time I wash my hair," she explained.
Next, Ashley explained that she's trained her hair to be accustomed to less frequent washing, where she can get away with only washing it once or twice a week.
"I am using dry shampoo here and there, I love this one," she said, holding up the Living Proof dry shampoo, $30.
Despite being a heat-less style convert, she also protects her hair each time she heat-styles, using the L'Oreal Elvive Heat Slayer Leave-In, $8.
Last but not least, her go-to's for volume were the Unite Boosta Finishing Spray, $35, and the Nexxus Root Lift Thickening Spray, $13.
