ENGLAND welcome Iceland to Wembley for their final encounter before the upcoming Euro 2024 tournament.

But Cole Palmer's 60th-minute penalty, a superb volley from Trent Alexander-Arnold, and a poacher's finish by Harry Kane saw Gareth Southgate's side run out 3-0 winners at St James' Park.

The England gaffer named his official 26-man squad on Thursday evening, with some big names without a place on the plane to Germany.

Harry Maguire failed to beat the clock after his recent battle with a calf injury, while Southgate opted for other attacking options over Jack Grealish.

The other five players who didn't make the cut are James Trafford, Jarell Quansah, Curtis Jones, Jarrad Branthwaite and James Maddison.
