I nabbed bags full of grub from Greggs for £2.95 with a simple hack – I still can’t get over how good it was
CHRISTMAS is an expensive time of year, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy a tasty treat or two.
One foodie managed to snap up two huge bags of grub from Greggs for less than £3 using a savvy trick, and you can do the same.
The woman, who posts on social media as @ams_ab, raved about the amount of food she got using the Too Good To Go app.
The Too Good To Go app connects people with food chains as well as supermarkets with leftover food that would otherwise be thrown away.
Although you don't know exactly what each bag will contain before picking it up, it's safe to say she was more than happy with the food.
Some of the grub included a ham and cheese toastie, a roast chicken salad roll, a roast chicken and bacon baguette and a honey and roast ham baguette.

And there was plenty of sweat treats too, like yumyums, cookies, doughnuts and other pastries.
After unpacking the bags the food took up all of the kitchen counter, leaving the food fan amazed.
"I can't believe I got all of this for £2.95 using the Too Good To Go app. A great bargain," she captioned the clip.
Other Greggs fans were impressed too and couldn't wait to try out the hack for themselves.
One wrote: "Wow I really need to start using the Too Good To Go app more!"
"Omg I need to do this, you've convinced me," a second wrote.
And a third said: "I've just downloaded the app after seeing this lol."
Meanwhile, other foodies admitted they've never been quite so lucky with the mystery bags from the app.
"I kept ending up with the vagan sausage rolls so I stop getting Greggs Too Good To Go," one joked.
"Me and my mum get nowhere near that when we do this, we get like one cold sausage roll, a sandwich and a broken cookie," someone else said.
It's not just Greggs you can get good deals with on the app though - there are plenty of other restaurants and cafes on there selling left over grub at discounted rates.
There are even supermarkets on the app, one savvy shopper bagged loads of stuff from Co-op for just £4.
Taking to the Facebook group, Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, Katrine Bennett revealed she used the Too Good To Go app to pick up the food items at a discounted price.
In her haul, she picked up a salad, doughnuts, bread, grapes, kiwis, soup, sausages, and cookies.

She wrote: "Omg so have been using the Too Good To Go app for nearly two weeks now and tonight I collected all these goodies for just £4 from our local co-op.
"This is by far the best haul so far and it's all thanks to another person posting in this group about the app."
