This Morning fans beg bosses to give surprise new host permanent role on the show after impressive debut
THIS Morning fans have begged bosses to give Martin Lewis a permanent role on the show after his impressive debut.
Martin, 51, hosted the daytime juggernaut yesterday alongside Josie Gibson, 39, for the first time - after years of appearing as a finance expert.
And ITV1 viewers were so impressed with his efforts, they've called for him to be given a full-time job.
Martin had taken to Instagram after the show to reflect on his first hosting gig, sharing a snap outside Television Centre in London.
Posed in his running gear, the star wrote, "And I'm done. Now to run home. Thanks to the team and the viewers for indulging my bucket-list wish to present @thismorning. I really enjoyed it.
"The gear changes can be tricky, but the 150mins just flew by. Hope it was a reasonable watch :)."

One of his followers commented, "That was a brilliant show more please," with another adding, "Should be made permanent."
Someone else agreed, "Thought you were brilliant Martin. Hope to see you on there again."
A fourth said, "Brilliant host, you should be permanent."
But it didn't go all plain-sailing as fans became convinced they'd spotted tension between Martin and Gyles Brandreth.
Gyles was keen to put the journalist through his paces during a discussion about money.
Those watching at home were quick to pick up on Gyles's change of demeanour around Martin as they discussed tax cuts.
One person commented: “Martin talking sense, Gyles rattled.”
A second said of Gyles: “Seems slightly subdued.”
“Try and trip up Martin Lewis at your peril, Gyles Brandreth,” remarked a third.
And a fourth said: “Only bonus is Martin is very anti-government at times, so should be interesting with Gyles on today.”
