A BEAUTY enthusiast has revealed the homemade treatment that she used to rapidly stimulate hair growth.
She confessed to still having “flashbacks” from when she was balding and her hair struggled to grow.
Zara (@theneptunianbaby) has garnered over 37,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares tips for “glowing up.”
She shared clips of herself taken a few months ago before showing how much her tresses have grown since.

“I know you’ve never heard anything like this mask so let me tell you babe this mask is golden.
“It has the best ingredients and works for all hair types.”
She showed the creamy mixture as the ingredients for making the mask were listed on the screen.
One banana, half an avocado, one and a half cups of coconut water, half a cup of sea moss, two capsules of Fenugreek powder, two capsules of kava kava powder, two capsules of blessed thistle, rosemary oil, and olive oil.
While banana, avocado, coconut water, and olive oil are readily available at most grocery stores the other ingredients can be found in hair shops and online.
On Amazon, sea moss is priced at $14, Fenugreek powder is $12, and kava kava powder is $16.
Meanwhile, blessed thistle and rosemary essential oils are $8 each.
“Banana is amazing for promoting hair growth,” Zara said.
“It’s rich in potassium which helps to deliver essential nutrients to the scalp.
“The coconut water helps moisturize and seal the hair.
“We all know sea moss is amazing, it has 92 minerals that your body needs.
Zara's DIY hair growth mask
Ingredients:
- One banana
- Half an avocado
- One and a half cups of coconut water
- Half a cup of sea moss
- Two capsules of Fenugreek powder
- Two capsules of Kava Kava powder
- Two capsules of blessed thistle
- Rosemary oil
- Olive oil
Step 1: Blend ingredients until smooth
Step 2: Apply the mask to small sections of hair
Step 3: Leave the mask to sit for up to an hour
Step 4: Wash out the mask and style the hair
“And the fenugreek, kava kava, blessed thistle, and rosemary help to thicken the hair.”
She used her hands to apply the mask to her hair in small sections and then twisted it as she left it to sit.
She recommended leaving the mask on for 45 minutes to one hour and reapplying every two weeks.
The beauty guru’s hair was visibly shiny and thick after she washed out the mask and styled her tresses.
“I’m having flashbacks from when I was bald a couple of months ago [laughing],” she said.
“But seriously give this mask a try, it works wonders.”
Hundreds of people liked the video and thanked Zara for sharing her DIY hair mask.
According to Healthline, bananas can be an effective ingredient for making hair stronger and thicker.
