Wan-Bissaka demands United pay-off
Aaron Wan-Bissaka is demanding a multi-million pound pay-off from Manchester United to leave the club this summer.
SunSport has learned that while West Ham are willing to meet United's £18million valuation for Wan-Bissaka they cannot afford his wage demands leaving the deal in limbo.
Wan-Bissaka is open to joining West Ham, but has no huge desire to leave United and is refusing to sell himself short.
The 26-year-old has less than 12 months left on his contract at Old Trafford.
And he could bank a huge signing-on fee by staying put and leaving on a free transfer next summer.
Wan-Bissaka's representatives are pushing for United to give the player a chunk of the £18m fee they will receive from West Ham in order to get the deal done this summer.

Atletico Madrid have agreed to sign Julian Alvarez in an £81million transfer from Manchester City, according to Sky Sports.
It will be a club-record sale for Man City.

Gallagher travels to Spain
Conor Gallagher is expected to fly to Spain on Tuesday to complete his move to Atletico Madrid.
The Chelsea midfielder, 24, had planned to travel on Monday - but talks between the two clubs over striker Samu Omoridion going the other way have delayed plans.
There is not thought to be any issues with Gallagher's move to Atletico.

Yoro fears
Leny Yoro has undergone surgery on a metatarsal injury that will keep him out for three months.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag’s worst fears over his new £52million centre-half were confirmed following the op, which took place after the club’s return from their US tour.
Yoro, 18, suffered the damage in only his second appearance for his new club – a 2-1 friendly defeat to Arsenal in Los Angeles.
United have confirmed the French Under-21s star will be missing until November, his absence bringing back Ten Hag's nightmares of last season.
The club are now certain to accelerate their pursuit of Bayern Munich’s Matthijs de Ligt.

Crystal Palace star Jean-Philippe Mateta is angling for a new contract as his reputation soars.
There is talk of a big move abroad for Mateta but his club could nip that in the bud with a pay rise before the end of the summer transfer window.
RB Leipzig have previously bid for the striker and may return with an offer.
Napoli are also eyeing the 27-year-old up as a replacement for Victor Osimhen should he be sold to Chelsea.

Arsenal closing in on Merino
Arsenal are reportedly close to signing Real Sociedad star Mikel Merino.
According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, a deal between the Gunners and Sociedad could be completed in the next few days.
Romano claims a package worth in the region of €30million (£26m) has been agreed between both clubs.
However, the structure and payment terms still need to be ironed out between the two clubs.
It’s expected a deal will be finalised as Merino has already agreed to join the the North Londoners.
Barcelona and Atletico Madrid continue to monitor the midfielder but he prefers a move to the Emirates.

Chelsea sign Brazilian but...
Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign Gremio starlet Gabriel Mec.
The Blues and the Brazilian outfit have striken a rumoured £20.5million deal.
According to Globo, Mec is set to undergo a medical in his homeland in the next few days.
And the playmaker will then put pen to paper on a five-year deal with the West Londoners.
However, the 16-year-old will have to stay at Gremio until April 2026 as youngsters are banned from securing a transfer away from Brazil until they turn 18.

Newcastle are holding talks with Crystal Palace for Marc Guehi.
According to The Telegraph, negotiations are currently underway between the two clubs.
Guehi tops the Magpies' list of targets to fill in at centre-back this coming season.
Talks between the Toon and Palace as well as the England international are advancing.
The Eagles, though, want £65million to let the 24-year-old go.

Petit slams Gallagher exit
Chelsea hero Emmanuel Petit blasted his former club's decision to offload Conor Gallagher, who is heading to Atletico Madrid.
Petit told Gambling Zone:
I look at the project, signing all these young players for huge money on incredibly long contracts and it doesn’t make sense.
The Americans have spent over a billion and what did they get? Some of these players have been given massive contracts without achieving anything in the game.
Then you look at the players they are selling. They are selling their best players and academy graduates. Conor Gallagher was Chelsea’s best player last season and was practically the captain for most of it because Reece James was injured.
He plays for the national team. He came through the academy and you’re going to sell him for how much? £30million? He’s probably the best midfielder in the squad.
How can Gallagher be worth £30million? It doesn’t make sense to me. I don’t get it. I don’t understand the decisions being made at the club.

Chelsea are in pole position to sign Atletico Madrid star Samu Omorodion after Conor Gallagher agreed to move to the Spanish club.
The Blues have also not ruled out signing Napoli star Victor Osimhen this summer.
Atletico could let Omorodion leave for a deal of around £40million if they can sign Julian Alvarez.
If the transfer is made then the West Londoners are the frontrunner to sign the Spaniard.
Chelsea have already had a £27.4m offer rejected for the 20-year-old but are still keen.

Chelsea continue their pursuit of Napoli star Victor Osimhen during the summer transfer window.
According to Football Insider, the Blues are still in talks with signing Osimhen.
However, the West Londoners are refusing to match the striker's release clause of over £100million.
Chelsea are willing to offer Romelu Lukaku as a makeweight in the deal but an agreement is still a long way off.

Alvarez's move to Madrid could open the door for Chelsea to sign striker Samu Omorodion from Diego Simone's side.
Omorodion, valued at around £35m, will only be allowed to leave should a deal for Alvarez get over the line.
Atletico are heavily involved in the Premier League market this summer with Chelsea's Conor Gallagher closing in on a move to the Spanish capital.
Gallagher's move is being handled separately from any deal for Omorodion, who spent last season on loan with Deportivo Alaves, scoring nine goals.
Alvarez, 24, is keen for more regular game time with Erling Haaland ahead of him in the pecking order in Manchester.

Fullkrug has put pen to paper on a four-year deal with the Hammers.
The striker is said to have signed with the East Londoners after they struck a £27million deal with Dortmund.

Liverpool legend Bruce Grobbelaar has hit out after failing in his bid to become Zimbabwe national coach.
The former keeper, 66, won the European Cup and six league titles in 13 years at Anfield.
South Africa-born Grobbelaar won 32 caps for Zimbabwe's Warriors national side.
He had two brief spells as their player-manager in the late 1990s.
He was favourite for the national coach job after meeting ZIFA officials and ministers in March.
However German Michael Nees, 57, was appointed instead.

Gallagher set for medical
Conor Gallagher will undergo his medical at Atletico Madrid on Monday ahead of a £33million move from Chelsea.
The Blues academy graduate, 24, has effectively been forced out of Stamford Bridge, despite joining the club aged eight.
Gallagher was told last week that he would be frozen out of the first team setup with concerns over whether he would suit Enzo Maresca's new system.
Chelsea accepted a £57m bid from Aston Villa in June but Gallagher turned down the move and was subsequently offered a new two-year deal with a year's option.
That contract was suggested again last week after the offer from Atletico was accepted - but the England international only wanted to stay on a longer term deal.
Chelsea have routinely offered six or seven-year contracts to a number of players under their American ownership but the club felt that a longer deal for Gallagher could harm both club and player further down the line.

Arsenal ‘accelerate’ transfer talks
Arsenal have stepped up their pursuit of Galatasaray winger Baris Alper Yilmaz, according to reports in Turkey.
Sok Gazetesi claim the Gunners have “accelerated” negotiations over the transfer.
The 24-year-old is understood to be valued at just over £17million by Galatasaray.
Yilmaz scored seven goals and provided 12 assists in 55 appearances across all competitions last season.
